During an AMA session on Reddit, Microsoft founder Bill Gates gave his opinion on the development of Web3 and the metaverse. He does not believe in their breakthrough potential. A truly revolutionary technology called artificial intelligence.

It is this technology that he can compare with significant and disruptive technology, like the Internet in the early 2000s.

I’m Bill Gates, and I’m back for my 11th AMA. Ask Me Anything. from IAma

“Artificial intelligence is a powerful thing. I don’t think Web3 was that big or the metaverse itself is revolutionary, but AI is, yes, definitely,” Gates wrote.

In addition, he clarified that he himself spends most of his time on innovations in the field of healthcare, on agriculture and other initiatives with a shorter-term perspective.
