BBC: Football Fans Spent Over $ 350 Million On Fan Tokens

Football fans bought team tokens totaling more than $ 350 million. BBC News…

According to the study, 24 football clubs have launched fan tokens or are considering doing so. Among them, eight teams play in the English Premier League.

Most of these clubs issue tokens through the Socios platform. The company said that it sold about $ 300 million worth of coins through its own application.

The most popular were the tokens of Italian Lazio, English Manchester City, Portuguese Porto and Brazilian Santos.

Analysts are confident that the main goal of most buyers of such coins is speculation.
