- Emin Gün Sirer addressed the House of Representatives
- He urged regulators to adopt reasonable rules for blockchain technology
Today, June 13, Ava Labs CEO, Emin Gun Sirer, addressed with a speech at a meeting of the Committee on Financial Services of the House of Representatives. The topic of his speech is the protection of blockchain technology.
The crypto leader urged regulators from the United States to adopt sensible regulations for the sector to lay the foundation for the responsible development of blockchain technology. Sirer was joined by Circle CEO Jeremy Aller, Coy Garrison of the law firm Partner, Steptoe & Johnson, and Thomas Sexton III, president and CEO of NFA News, before the House of Representatives.
Emin Gyun himself has stated that he wants to win back the need for free, secure and responsible blockchain innovation in the US, as well as the technical and scientific advantages of these systems. However, in his speech, he paid special attention to one of the aspects – tokenization, which includes the digital representation of real assets.
“Tokenization was not created to circumvent the law. This is a natural result of the development of blockchain technology and one of the improvements it offers over traditional systems, similar to how computer databases improved paper file cabinets. The developers did not intend to create technology to circumvent laws and regulations. said the CEO of Ava Labs.
According to Sirer, blockchain solves a major problem in the computer science sector, which is achieving consensus among diverse and widespread computers. He also highlighted the rise of AI and added that blockchain will be critical as the world moves towards a “more digital world”.
