From May 3rd to 7th, Dogecoin fans will travel to the Japanese city of Sakura to meet Shiba Inu Kabosu, who has become the hero of the meme and the face of cryptocurrency. This is reported Decrypt.
The event is organized by the Own the Doge NFT community with the support of Doge DAO, created by the PleasrDAO project.

The pilgrimage, as the organizers call it, includes visits to dog-themed temples and statues in Tokyo, go-karts and dinner with geishas. Guests will then proceed to Sakura City for a face-to-face meeting and walk with Kabosu. There they will also see the site of the future installation of the Doge bronze statue, for which Doge DAO previously raised $100,000.

The event’s guest of honor will be Kyle Craven, the hero of the 2010 Bad Luck Brian meme. Guests wishing to remain anonymous will be provided with masks depicting Kabosu.
Applications are accepted through google form. In it, you need to reveal your true motives for making a pilgrimage, whether it’s a photo with Kabosu or lunch with her mistress.
The organizers of the trip will hold a drawing, the winner of which will be paid by Doge DAO for the cost of the trip and airfare (up to $5,700). To participate in the lottery, users must own at least one DOG token – a fractional part of the famous Doge NFT, redeemed by PleasrDAO for 1969.6 ETH. The price of one pixel at the time of writing is approximately $48.
Recall that in early February, PleasrDAO auctioned a sofa from the original Doge meme to raise funds for the humanitarian organization Save the Children. It was sold for 21 ETH (less than $35,000 at the time of the deal).
