NBC News, based on a survey of 1,000 respondents, received statistics that at least 21% of US residents have spent, traded, or invested in digital assets at least once. This is reported CNBC.
The margin of error in the study was 3.1%.
In the category of “lovers” of cryptocurrencies – about half of men aged 18-49 years. Among men and women aged 18 to 34, this figure was 42%.
The benefits of using Bitcoin, Ethereum, and stablecoins were cited as high transaction speeds, lower costs, privacy, security, and access to financial services for those who are unbanked.
Only 19% of those surveyed reported their favorable attitude towards cryptocurrencies, 56% – about a neutral or wary position, and 25% – that they view them in a negative way.
According to analysts, this is explained by the lack of regulatory certainty in the industry.
